Annual cover: AML and AI governance retainers
A review is a moment; cover is a state of readiness. Quarterly spot checks on the AML file and a kept-current AI register mean that when someone asks — a client, an insurer, a regulator — the answer is a document from this quarter rather than last year.
Compliance decays quietly in the gap between reviews
New joiners, a busy quarter, a new matter type — each one nudges the file away from where the last review left it. Quarterly checks catch drift while it is still a training note rather than a finding. The same is true of an AI register: it is accurate the day it is written and wrong within a quarter.
- Same ruleset and reviewer each quarter, so results are comparable
- Patterns reported across quarters, not only per file
- New AI tools assessed before rollout, not after the first incident
Stated in advance, delivered as described.
AML cover–900/month
Five files spot-checked each quarter across different control areas, a quarterly themes note with actions, the annual full review at the retained rate, and email access to the review desk.
AI governance cover
Register kept current, each new AI tool assessed in-week before rollout, annual policy and DPIA refresh, and a quarterly governance note your board can minute.
Evidence pack, always current
A single folder that answers insurer and client questionnaires on any given day, rather than the two-week scramble before renewal.
Escalation
If a quarterly check or a new tool assessment finds something serious, you hear it immediately — not at the next scheduled report.
Board reporting
Quarterly notes written for minuting, in the same format each time, so trends are visible across the year.
Both retainers together
Several firms take both; we quote them as a pair and run them on one reporting calendar.
Four steps, no surprises.
Baseline
If you have had a review or an audit, we start from that report and verify the remediation. If not, the first engagement is the review or the audit.
Calendar
We agree the quarterly dates at the start so they do not collide with your busy periods, and diarise them for you.
Quarterly cycle
Spot checks or register review, findings note within five working days, actions with owners, and a short call if anything needs discussing.
Annual
Full AML review or annual AI audit at the retained rate, plus a consolidated board pack for the year.
Fixed numbers. The invoice matches the proposal.
