Probative Co / Services / AML review + policy refresh + training
the fix-it option · one fee, one decision

AML review, policy refresh and training

Findings are half the job. This pairs the twenty-file review with a firm-wide AML policy rewritten against what we found, plus a live session your fee-earners will not mute — priced as one number because it is one decision.

the thinking

Reviewing without fixing is how the same finding appears twice

The most expensive sentence in compliance is 'we knew about that one'. The review identifies the pattern; the policy says what the firm now does about it; the training is where the policy becomes behaviour. Done separately, each is weaker and slower.

  • The policy is written against your findings, not a template
  • Training uses patterns from your own files, anonymised
  • One engagement, one fee, one delivery window
what you receive

Stated in advance, delivered as described.

Full AML file review

Twenty files across seven control areas, with gap matrix, risk rating, remediation plan and board summary.

Rewritten AML policy

A firm-wide policy drafted against what the review actually found — risk appetite, CDD process, escalation, monitoring cadence and record retention, in your firm's language.

Live training session

One hour with fee-earners using anonymised examples from your own review. On site or remote, with a leave-behind card.

Supporting documents

CDD checklist, file-note standard and a one-page supervisory routine for partners, all consistent with the policy.

Board summary and evidence pack

A single pack showing the review, the remediation and the training — the sequence an insurer or a regulator wants to see.

Follow-up check

Optional three-month spot check to confirm the changes stuck, priced at the retainer rate.

how it runs

Four steps, no surprises.

STEP 1

Review

Five to ten working days, exactly as the standalone review. Findings shared before the policy work begins so nothing is drafted blind.

STEP 2

Policy drafting

A draft within a week of the findings session, with one round of comments included.

STEP 3

Training

Scheduled once the policy is agreed, so the session teaches the document people will actually be held to.

STEP 4

Handover

Final pack, board summary, and the training record for your files.

who this is for
  • Firms that have had a review and not yet acted on it
  • Firms whose AML policy predates their current practice
  • Firms where the policy exists but nobody has been trained on it
  • Firms wanting one defensible narrative from assessment to behaviour
questions we get asked
QCan we do the review first and decide later?+
Yes. Plenty of firms start with the review alone, then add this once they see the findings. The pack fee is available for twelve months after a review.
QWho writes the policy?+
The same associate who reviewed the files, with input from your compliance lead. It reads like your firm wrote it because, in substance, it did.
QHow many people can attend the training?+
Up to twenty in one session. Larger firms are split, priced per session, and we will quote before you commit.
QIs the policy a legal document?+
It is a compliance policy, not legal advice. Where a provision needs a legal view we flag it for your solicitor rather than guessing.
QWhat if we are not a law firm?+
The same structure works for accountancy and property practices; the regulatory references change. Tell us your sector and we will confirm before quoting.
