pi renewal · evidence, not assertion

Your insurer has started asking about AI. Answer it once, properly.

Renewal questionnaires now ask whether you hold an independent AML review and how AI use is governed. Both are answerable with documents — and both are much easier to answer in March than in the week the form arrives.

not a law firm, and we say so
the problem

Assertion is cheap. The questionnaire is asking for evidence.

Answering 'yes, we review our AML files' without a dated report signed by someone independent is the answer that creates a coverage argument later. The same is now true of AI: 'we have a policy' invites the follow-up question about what is in it.

  • Independent AML review report, dated and signed
  • Conflict-check record and independence statement
  • AI register, DPIA set and acceptable-use policy

A fixed number, in writing

If there is something worth fixing you get scope, deliverable, turnaround and fee stated plainly — the same day you ask.

03

Delivery, then evidence

Work runs to the dates in the proposal, and you finish with documents you can file, show a client or hand to an insurer.

questions we get asked

Straight answers, before you spend anything.

QWill you talk to our broker?+
Happily. We can join a call with your broker or insurer and explain the method, the sample basis and the limitations. We have done it before and it tends to shorten the process.
QHow current does the review need to be?+
Insurers generally want a review within the last twelve months, proportionate to the practice. If yours is older, the retainer keeps it current for less than a re-review each year.
QDo you provide the certificates?+
Our own PI and cyber liability certificates, yes, in the procurement pack. Your firm's cover is your broker's territory.
QCan this be done before our renewal date?+
Usually yes. Reviews start within five working days and complete in five to ten, so a six-week runway is comfortable.
