Probative Co / About

A small practice with an inspectable method.

We are not a law firm, not an audit firm and not a software company. We are the desk firms call when a compliance question and a technology question arrive in the same week — and when someone senior needs a document they can sign rather than an opinion they have to trust.

Who does the work

Three people, named, on every engagement. No delivery centre, no rotating juniors, no account manager between you and the person who read your files.

Our associates are independent specialists engaged by Probative Co for specific client engagements. Their profiles reflect the experience they bring to those engagements, and you will know who is on yours before it starts.

What we believe, in four sentences

Findings beat theory. A report that describes the regulations back to you has failed, however elegantly it is typeset.

Independence is a process, not a paragraph. A conflict check run and recorded before every engagement; an independence statement inside every report; never reviewing a firm we have advised.

Technology should be inspectable. Our tooling does the first pass because it makes a twenty-file review take days rather than weeks. Every observation it produces carries the rule, the evidence pointer, a confidence rating and a human decision — including the ones a human overruled.

You should be able to leave. Nothing we deliver is locked in a portal only we can read. It is your document, in your format, on your file.

What we will not do

How we work

Remote-first across the UK, with on-site work where it helps — training in your offices, board briefings in a room with the partnership, private AI architecture sessions with your IT lead. Everything else runs on encrypted transfer, a secure file store and a written data-processing agreement.
